OUR STORY
About Leave the Room Travel
Travel Was Never Meant to Be Rushed
Travel was never meant to feel like a checklist. Somewhere along the way it became about moving faster, seeing more, and packing every moment into a schedule. But the most meaningful experiences rarely happen when you rush from place to place.
They happen when you slow down.
They happen over long meals that turn into conversations. They happen during quiet walks through streets you did not plan to explore. They happen when you allow yourself the time to truly notice the place you are in.
Some of the most memorable moments in travel are not the landmarks. They are the unexpected connections, the atmosphere of a neighborhood, or the feeling that you are part of something larger than your routine back home.
Travel should give you space to breathe, reflect, and experience the world in a deeper way.
That belief became the foundation of Leave the Room Travel.
“Sometimes the most important thing you can do is leave the room.”
Leave the Room Travel was created around a simple idea. Travel should reconnect you with yourself, with the people you love, and with the world around you.
When a journey is designed thoughtfully, something shifts. You begin to notice more. Conversations feel richer. Places feel more alive. Time feels slower in the best possible way.
Instead of rushing through a destination, the goal is to experience it fully. That might mean lingering longer in one region, discovering hidden places most travelers miss, or building experiences around culture, food, and meaningful connection.
Every journey is designed with intention and care. From boutique hotels to immersive local experiences, each element works together to create travel that feels effortless and deeply memorable.
The goal is not simply to visit a destination.
The goal is to experience it.
Travel Should Transform You, Not Exhaust You
A Bit About Me
Meet Erica, Founder of Leave the Room Travel
The idea behind Leave the Room Travel comes from my own life.
I grew up in Philadelphia and eventually left to pursue graduate school in Miami. That decision opened the door to new experiences and a new perspective on the world.
Later I moved to England for work. Living abroad gave me the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and experience places in a completely different way. Each destination deepened my understanding of culture, people, and how travel shapes us.
Life eventually called me back to Pennsylvania when both my mother and brother were facing cancer. That time reminded me how precious time with family truly is.
When that chapter closed, I chose to leave the room again and begin a new chapter in Mexico.
Each of these moments reinforced the same lesson. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is step outside what is familiar and allow life to expand.
That philosophy is at the heart of Leave the Room Travel.
Travel is not just about seeing the world. It is about reconnecting with yourself, with family, and with experiences that remind you how meaningful life can be.
